Getting even

Sometimes when i'm jealous of someone or angry at something they've said or done, i find myself thinking about ways to get even. I rarely end up going through with my plans for revenge, but i know that even my desire to hurt someone is against God's commands. So many people i know think it's a sign of strength when they fight with someone or deliberately hurt someone's feeling. But i think it's more impressive when someone is able to just walk away from someone who's trying to pick a fight. God tell us to be merciful with other people, even when we're tempted to hurt them. It takes a lot of strenght to do that. God knows we we're tempted to hurt other people or take advantage of them in the name of "revenge".But God would much rather have us leave our problems in his hands. I know the next time someone hurts me, i'll be tempted to hurt them back. But i have to remember, that's not how God wants us to handle our struggles.....
