Tongue in check

When i'm mad at somebody, it's tempting to use my words to hurt them or get even. But i can keep myself from saying something mean if i remember that God didn't give me a tongue to cut other people down. He gave me a tongue so i could praise and speak encouraging words to others. Words are just so easy to throw around. Before you know it, you can really hurt someone's feelings without even meaning to. So it's good to look at these verses (james 3:3-10) and remember that words have power. They need to be handled carefully and in a way that pleases God......(ask God to help you watch your words)
